Focus

At Stonegate Plastic Surgery Center, we strive to provide aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgical care of the utmost quality in a warm, friendly and compassionate atmosphere. We consider ourselves a team which includes plastic surgical nurses, medical aestheticians, skin care specialists, receptionists, and patient services coordinators to provide seamless and integrated care from first contact through a number of available services, products and procedures. We have an integrated full service medi-spa, The Spa at Stonegate (see listing), to provide state-of-the-art noninvasive procedures including Botox, advanced fillers, laser hair reduction, intense pulsed light (IPL), photofacials, microdermabrasion, medical peels, laser skin resurfacing, and mineral makeup. In addition, we have a fully accredited surgical facility, which allows procedures to be carried out safely, efficiently, confidentially and economically.

Stonegate Plastic Surgery Center is a 7,000 sq. ft. facility located within Stonegate Medical Center, 3901 Stonegate Park, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085 (see map). This facility includes an aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery practice with integrated surgicenter and state of the art medi-spa, The Spa at Stonegate.

Laser Hair Reduction

Unwanted or excess hair can be permanently and painlessly removed or reduced using recently developed technologies of diode lasers and intense pulsed light. Typically, several treatments are needed since each treatment targets the individual hair follicle most effectively in a certain phase of growth. Followup treatments are typically scheduled four to six weeks later to target other hair follicles that are now in their most sensitive growth phase. Small areas such as the underarms or upper lip can be treated in 10-15 minutes or less, whereas larger areas such as the legs or back may take 30 minutes or longer per session. Our patients have been particularly pleased with their results from laser hair reduction. We utilize two of the most effective technologies available for laser hair reduction, the Lumenis Light Sheer™ ET diode laser system and the Palomar Starlux® intense pulsed light system. The demand for intense pulsed light (IPL) hair removal and laser hair removal treatments are at an all-time high. This is not surprising, considering that traditional hair removal via electrolysis and waxing is painful and expensive. Light-based hair removal permanently reduces unwanted facial and body hair, in fewer treatments and with more comfort than is possible with traditional procedures.
