Laser Hair Removal
A non-invasive method of hair removal using laser treatment.
Plastic Surgery Associates provides long-lasting removal of unwanted hair from all parts of your body, including the face, ears, nose, legs, arms, underarms, back, and bikini area.
The procedure uses laser light or a non-invasive light called LightSheer. Pulses of light safely penetrate your skin, disabling hundreds of hair follicles at once. The system’s unique design allows us to customize treatment according to the color, texture and location of your unwanted hair. You may feel a mild sting similar to the snap of a rubber band, but no local anesthesia or pain medication is required.
The number of treatments required depends upon your hair color and the area being targeted. Because hair grows in cycles, several treatments are needed for optimal results. Each session lasts 10 to 30 minutes.
You can return to work the same day and immediately resume all regular activities. You may experience some short-term side effects, including slight reddening of the skin or local swelling that goes away within a few days. In rare instances, there may be some blistering.
