LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Some current methods used for hair removal include: shaving, tweezing, waxing and depilatories. These methods are painful or messy, and all are temporary. Tweezing and waxing actually encourages more hair growth by stimulating the blood supply to dormant hair follicles.

The good news is that a perfect solution is now available that will permanently and safely eliminate unwanted body hair…laser hair removal!

Technology has advanced and there has been a drastic change in permanent hair removal. It is now a flourishing field that is bringing convenience and confidence to all who choose this permanent hair removal option.We have 30 years of combined experience in hair removal and over 8 years in laser hair removal. Diana Callas has attended the top laser school in the country for laser hair removal and most other lasers. Diana also has an additional two years educational training in laser hair removal that qualify her as one of a handful of laser hair removal specialists in the country. Her goal is to give her patients the best possible results in laser hair removal. In order to achieve our goal, we use the most technologically advanced equipment available: The Light Sheer Diode Laser is the only machine that is FDA cleared for permanency.

At the time of your consultation, we will provide a cost estimate for the desired treatment area. To adequately remove the unwanted hair growth, usually three to six treatments per area are required. Occasionally, additional treatments may be required; particularly for those patients who have an underlying hormonal imbalance or people with darker skin.; During the initial consultation, we will give a thorough examination and determine whether blood work is needed for issues related to hormonal imbalances (e.g. polycystic ovarian syndrome, higher levels of testosterone, thyroid conditions).; We will provide you with the proper blood work needed to help determine if these issues are a concern for you. At the time of the consultation, a test spot will be performed so that you have an idea of what a treatment feels like. There may be a small amount of discomfort associated with the treatment.; We will provide numbing cream to alleviate as much discomfort as possible. Side effects from laser hair removal treatment are minimal. Normal side effects are: skin reddening (similar to a mild sunburn) and peri-follicular edema for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. An aloe lotion, hydrocortisone cream, or ice packs can be used to soothe the treated area.

ELECTROLYSIS
Electrolysis has been around for over 150 years, providing the first means of permanent hair removal. It is generally a longer process than laser and is the only method available for eliminating grey, white, and red hair.

SPIDER VEIN TREATMENT
If the veins are located on the fatty tissue of the legs, we use the Light Sheer Diode laser to treat these types of veins. Other areas on the body are treated with the Lumenis One (IPL) which is a non-intrusive procedure to reduce and eliminate the spider veins and broken capillaries that appear on your body including the face. Although the Light Sheer Diode Laser was designed for permanent hair removal, it is also used to treat spider veins. The Light Sheer Diode Laser targets the color in spider veins and selectively heats it without damaging surrounding tissues. The laser reduces and eliminates these veins in just a few seconds.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an incredible exfoliating procedure to renew and rejuvenate skin, making its appearance healthier, younger, and more vibrant. Microdermabrasion works by the application of aluminum oxide crystals through a hand held wand. Incorporated in the wand is a vacuum device to gently remove the crystals after they have been applied to the skin. The crystals and vacuum work in conjunction to remove dead skin cells and stimulate collagen production. It is also used for more aggressive treatments to improve the following conditions:

Microdermabrasion can be used prior to an IPL treatment and after one week of an IPL for exfoliating the skin. You will notice an immediate improvement following these treatments.
