Our office offers hair removal by means of electrolysis or laser. Both will work to permanently rid you of unwanted hair. We are skilled in offering you the best treatment to meet your needs.

For healthy, youthful, smoother skin, we offer glycolic acid exfoliating facial peels. The skin care products that we sell are formulated to work together with the peels to promote healthy skin.

Permanent makeup is offered for busy people or those with disabilities. Procedures are offered for eyebrows, lips and eyeliner.

Office hours are by appointment Monday through Thursday, with Tuesday and Thursday evenings available. Call for an appointment.

We follow all OSHA rules for sterilization and cleanliness. We are state licensed and inspected.

Betsy G. Ludwick, R.N., R.E., C.M.E.

Betsy earned her nursing degree at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. She has experience in medical/surgical, pediatrics, labor/delivery and dermatology. She received her training in electrology from Lisia’s Electrology and Training School in 1992. In 2001 Betsy received national certification as a Certified Medical Electrologist from the Society of Clinical and Medical Hair Removal. She has had special training and certification for laser hair removal, permanent makeup and in the application of glycolic acid for facial exfoliation.

Jill M. Petter, R.E., C.M.E.

Jill also received her training in electrology from Lisia’s Electrology and Training School in 1995. She has medical/surgical experience as a hospital patient care associate as well as dermatology experience. Jill received national certification as a Certified Medical Electrologist from the Society of Clinical and Medical Hair Removal in 2001. She has had special training and certification for laser hair removal and in the application of glycolic acid for facial exfoliation.

As a mother and daughter team they strive to offer the best service possible full of integrity and compassion. They offer electrology, laser hair removal, permanent makeup and glycolic acid facial peels by appointment. They follow all OSHA rules for sterilization and cleanliness. Laser hair removal is NOT a passing fad. It is a wonderful solution to remove unwanted hair that meets the criteria. With a beam of laser light, we can help you solve the problem of unwanted hair. Laser therapy (with Thermokinetic Selectivity, TKS) is a thoroughly tested, clinically-proven method of hair removal. Treatment is relatively quick, relatively painless and will not damage the surrounding skin.

The energy from the laser beam is transformed into heat which destroys the follicle. The principle of TKS makes this method of hair removal effective by only treating the hair follicles that have pigment, or melanin. The melanin absorbs the beam causing it to heat up and destroy the follicle.

The hair is only treatable when it is in the growing phase of the hair cycle. All skin types are treatable. The only contraindications are tanned skin, photosensitivity, or seizure disorders stimulated by flashing light.

Hair must be shaved as close to the skin as possible to insure absorption within the follicle. There may be some redness to the skin following treatment which may last an hour or so. It generally takes 2-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

For those large areas of hair growth and the more sensitive areas, laser hair removal is the answer. Even the most sensitive and hard to reach places, like inside the nose and around the ears, can be treated.

Blond, white, grey, and red hair are not affected by the laser. Hairs that are not treatable by laser can then be treated with electrolysis for complete hair removal satisfaction.
